There are several rooms at the Community House available for hire between 9am and 4pm weekdays. Our friendly team will be there to greet your guests and direct them to you. You are welcome to use our shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. The kitchen is equipped with a tea and coffee facilities, sink, fridge, kettle, toaster and oven.

The bThe Kauri Room
This well equipped boardroom includes a table that comfortably seats eight. There are a further four chairs available if needed. The room has a sky light and an electric heater. There is also a TV monitor with HDMI input for presentations.

The Harakeke Room
This sunny room is used by Plunket and counsellors. It includes a large table/desk, three chairs and a change table that we can remove if you do not require it. The window opens out on to Wira St and there is a small electric heater if needed in winter.
There is a PC in the room but this is not available for use.

The Nikau Room
This spacious room is a popular counselling space. It is a cosy room with lots of natural light. Equipped with a desk, couch, two arm chairs and an optional toy box. A window opens out on to Waerenga Rd and there is an electric heater if needed in winter.

This room is a great space for counselling or small group work. It includes a two arm chairs, a 2-seater couch and coffee table. There is also some free floor space allowing for a change in furniture and gatherings of 4-8 people. The windows open towards our yard and an electric heater is available if needed.

Toi Ako Artspace
The Toi Ako Artspace is located underneath St Margaret's Hall, next door to the Community House. It is home to a busy programme of clubs, classes and events - www.toiako.org
When not in use we are happy to hire out the space for approved purposes. It is well equipped for creative endeavours and group gatherings. It has a private parking area and a permanent lounge that seats 12. There is also working space that can be cleared or set up as a workshop or classroom seating for up to 24. It is equipped with a small kitchen (kettle, zip, fridge, sink, tea & coffee equipment, microwave) and a BBQ.
Standard room hire does not include use of any art materials but we are happy to put together a price for a private workshop if you'd like to bring friends and family, try a new artform and make something memorable.
All Toi Ako hirers will need to come in for a site orientation prior to use and a bond may apply.
